Andowl’s WiFi Extender transmits a signal at one frequency, 2.4Ghz, which offers lower speeds than those transmitting at 2 (dual) or 3 (tri-band) frequencies. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most common, and as it has a long-range, it is usually jammed by neighboring Wi-Fi signals, making it extremely difficult for the devices to communicate. For multi-device management, a dual-band device can handle it more efficiently. The repeater can deliver up to 300Mbps in total to the devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed that such a repeater of this generation (Wi-Fi 4) can offer on a device is closer to 50Mbps. Indicatively, a 4K high-resolution tape needs about 25Mbps.
